As one of the few purveyors of this top-quality beef in the United States, Arrowhead Specialty Meats proudly invites you to peruse our choice cuts of ​Akaushi Wagyu.  Thanks to the excellent working relationship between HeartBrand Beef and the Japan Association of Akaushi, each member of their herd can have its lineage traced back thirty generations, ensuring you the choicest, most consistent cuts of beef to offer your patrons.  This is the only all-natural, 100% source-verified Kobe/Wagyu beef available in the country.

Akaushi cattle originated and evolved in Kumamoto, Japan.  They are red in color and muscular in appearance, and were developed to withstand the challenging climate and physiographic features of Kumamoto as well as the discriminating taste of Japanese consumers.

The cattle we source are started on grass until they are 500-700 pounds, then transitioned to a higher energy feed that gives them intense marbling.  This marbling contains a much higher percentage of monounsaturated fat (responsible for beef’s flavor) that yields Prime quality beef with extraordinary health benefits.  Its unique fatty-acid composition produces beef that is remarkably tender with exceptional buttery flavor.

All Natural "Tajima" American Wagyu

Bred on Nebraska ranches from the Tajima strain of ​Japanese Black (Kuroge Washu) bulls and hand selected American cattle, this wagyu represents some of the finest and most consistent beef available. They are raised on premium vegetarian feed and are never given growth promotants or hormones. Thus producing beef with consistent and healthy marbling that is both extremely buttery and fork-tender.
