Company History
In 1993, John and Elaine Telge purchased six ostriches and began what would
eventually become Arrowhead Specialty Meats. For three years they sold ostrich
chicks and meat to the foodservice industry. Then chefs began inquiring if they
could supply other specialty meats and in 1996, Arrowhead expanded their offerings to
exotic game and the highest quality beef, pork and lamb. They continue to add
select exotic meats and specialty food products each year.
