The Arrowhead Story

In 1993, John and Elaine Telge purchased six ostriches and began what would eventually become Arrowhead Specialty Meats.  For three years they sold ostrich chicks and meat to the food service industry.  Chefs soon began to inquire if they could supply other specialty meats as well.  In 1996, Arrowhead expanded their offerings to include exotic game meats and the highest quality beef, pork and lamb.  They continue to add specialty food products each year.

ooking to increase their inventory and further develop their customer base, John and Elaine welcomed new business partner ~ Brad Feaster to the Arrowhead family in 2010.  Brad brought fifteen years of wholesale experience in the premium beef industry.  It didn't take long for the business to maximize its growth potential.  Having outgrown the 3,500-square-foot warehouse they occupied for three years, Arrowhead moved to a new location in 2011.  A 19,000-square-foot warehouse and office space in North Kansas City became the new home for the expanding company.

n 2011, Arrowhead Specialty Meats introduced its new distribution partner ~ Clark Feaster and Arrowhead Specialty Meats Texas.  The family owned and operated company is dedicated to exceptional customer service and to supplying the highest quality gourmet meats and artisanal ingredients to the vibrant food service industry in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
